1930s

During the 1930s network radio really came into its own.  As a heritage of the late 1920s, the number of US station had been reduced to resolve interference issues and the vast majority of stations were network-affiliated. NBC, with two networks was the strongest of the four networks with CBS third and Mutual/Don Lee the newest being somewhat weaker than the others.
