The Degree Team members met once a week, originally on Monday but later moved to Wednesday, for lunch at the Benson Hotel -- hosted by the Oregonian in order to plan the following Friday's broadcast. With topics and bits agreed upon, those tasked with writing the show retired to their work and the cast then assembled on Friday for the live broadcast. With all of the Degree Team serving on an entirely volunteer basis, the planning, writing, rehearsal and production of the live weekly broadcast was staggering undertaking.
