Reports on the Sunshine and Rainbow Divisions' accomplishments and needs became a regular weekly feature of the broadcasts.were also designed to add funds for those efforts. Sales proceeds from the Hoot Owls Classic pamphlets and printed copies of the Midnight Ode were donated to those charities. A local jeweler created Hoot Owl pins (in gold and silver) which were also sold to benefit these charitable endeavors.
